Educational Goal

The educational goal of this workshop is to increase understanding of the concept of a safe and welcoming space for those seeking care.

Description

Physical safety is not the only attribute of a safe and welcome healthcare environment, so efforts must be taken to also address the psychological safety for both clients and staff. This workshop provides an introduction for all behavioral health facility staff on the characteristics of a safe and welcoming space for all, as well as some techniques to help foster these types of environments for organizations. Our goal is to help improve the environment in a way that empowers everyone involved, as opposed to using the common transactional method of leadership to implement change. Everyone’s opinion matters and can be actionable!

  • Addiction Professional
  • Counselor
