Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify clinical indicators for when neurotherapeutic interventions may enhance engagement and treatment outcomes.

  • Integrate neurotherapeutic modalities into interdisciplinary care plans to promote sustained therapeutic change.

  • Explain how TMS, fMRI-targeted TMS, and Ketamine-based therapies modulate neural circuits related to motivation and emotion regulation.

Educational Goal

The educational goal of this presentation is for participants to increase knowledge about Neurotherapeutic options available and how to consider integrating them into a patient's course of care.

Description

This talk will explore how innovative neurotherapies can help emerging adults reacquire their momentum when current interventions are yielding limited results. Through case discussion and neuroscience-informed teaching, we’ll examine how various forms of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and Ketamine interventions may enhance motivation, emotion regulation, and resilience. Participants will leave with a framework for integrating these tools into clinical practice across treatment settings—bridging neuroscience and psychotherapy to promote engagement, progress, and sustained growth.

Target Audience

  • Addiction Professional
