Description

This dynamic professional development session is designed to equip school counseling leaders with the tools and strategies needed to lead their teams in effectively integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into daily practice. Participants will explore how AI can be used to streamline scheduling, communication, and documentation across multiple school sites, while supporting counselors in developing SEL content, monitoring student progress, and creating personalized student plans efficiently.

The session will also address how AI integration can reduce administrative burden, promote counselor wellness, and increase time for direct student services. Leaders will gain insights into building scalable, district-aligned models for AI use that prioritize equity, compliance, and ethical standards, while also preparing them to guide responsible and informed conversations about the role of technology in school counseling.

  • Develop leadership strategies for guiding counseling teams in responsible AI integration, including setting norms, addressing concerns, and aligning AI use with district priorities and professional standards.

  • Evaluate how AI integration can reduce administrative workload and support counselor wellness, allowing teams to increase time spent on direct student services and relationship-based work.
