This course examines the applications and implications of artificial intelligence (AI) in mental health care. Participants will explore how AI can enhance diagnosis, personalize treatment, monitor patient progress, and improve access to care. The course also addresses ethical, privacy, and bias concerns, highlighting the potential risks of AI integration. Attendees will gain practical guidance on leveraging AI tools responsibly while maintaining clinical judgment and patient-centered care in mental health practice.

Eva Ritvo, MD
Eva Ritvo, MD, a psychiatrist with over 30 years’ experience practicing in Miami, Florida, is the author of Bekindr: The Transformative Power of Kindness. She is also the co-founder of the Bold Beauty Project (BBP), a nonprofit that pairs women with disabilities with award-winning photographers to create art exhibitions to raise awareness.
A regular on major media, Dr. Ritvo frequently provides expert commentary on TV & radio and is often a source for journalists. She is a segment host of the PBS series, TechVersify, and the co-author of The Beauty Prescription and The Concise Guide to Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr. Ritvo is on the Editorial Advisory Board of Clinical Psychiatry News and inaugural Health and Wellness columnist at The Beverly Hills Courier.
Dr. Ritvo is the former Chair of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center and the former Vice-Chair of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami. She’s a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatry Association and a member of the American College of Psychiatrists. She was honored as the United Cerebral Palsy National Volunteer of the Year, The 2018 Women Worth Knowing Award by the Miami Commission for Women for Contribution to the Community in the field of Healthcare, and awarded the 2019 Clare Boothe Luce Award from the Luce Foundation. Dr. Ritvo received her undergraduate and medical degrees from UCLA and psychiatry residency training at Weill Cornell Medicine.
Vanessa Cushing is a licensed professional counselor, certified sex therapist, and board-approved supervisor dedicated to making sexual wellness more accessible, inclusive, and shame-free. She is the Founder and CEO of Sex Therapy Pro, the nation’s pioneering AI-driven sex therapy platform that blends evidence-based clinical expertise with cutting-edge technology.
Vanessa earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Johns Hopkins University, where she deepened her training in evidence-based, trauma-informed care.
With over a decade of experience in therapy, Vanessa specializes in trauma-informed, consent-centered, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. Her clinical approach integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, attachment theory, and the work of leading sexual health experts such as Emily Nagoski, Barry & Emily McCarthy, Ian Kerner, and Linda Weiner. She is widely recognized for her ability to translate complex therapeutic concepts into practical tools for individuals, couples, and clinicians.
Through her private practice, Cushing Counseling LLC, Vanessa has supported countless individuals and couples in navigating intimacy challenges, healing from sexual pain and dysfunction, and rebuilding connection after relational trauma. As a clinical supervisor, she mentors and trains the next generation of counselors, emphasizing ethical, inclusive, and client-centered practices.
In 2025, she launched Sex Therapy Pro — a comprehensive, subscription-based web platform designed to be the largest sexual wellness resource in history. The platform offers interactive tools, AI-guided exercises, and professional-level resources for both the public and clinicians. Her vision is to break barriers in sexual wellness by combining human expertise with technology, ensuring that accurate, evidence-based sex therapy tools are available to everyone, regardless of geography or financial barriers.
Beyond her clinical and entrepreneurial work, Vanessa is an educator, podcast guest, and advocate for ethical, professional use of AI in mental and sexual health. She is committed to empowering clinicians and educators to harness technology responsibly, expanding their reach while maintaining the highest standards of care.

Dr. Jessica Kizorek
Dr. Jessica Kizorek is an entrepreneur, activist, and master storyteller. As founder of Two Parrot Productions, she has created powerful video content for global nonprofits including the Girl Scouts, Special Olympics and Habitat for Humanity. A journalist and documentarian in more than 60 countries, she has dedicated her career to amplifying humanitarian causes through multimedia. Holding a Doctor of Business Administration with five years of research on AI anxiety in higher education, Jessica bridges technology, mental health, and impact. A Magna Cum Laude graduate and author of 10 books and online courses on digital marketing, she is a sought-after speaker featured on Fox, NBC, CNN, CBS, and PBS. She currently serves as a Visiting Professor and AI Faculty Fellow at Florida International University, leading campus-wide initiatives and partnerships in artificial intelligence.
Otis Kopp is a marketing professor at Florida International University whose expertise begins with studying AI anxiety and its impact on digital marketers, college students, and faculty. His current research explores how artificial intelligence influences learning, teaching, and professional development, as well as the role of imposter syndrome in shaping adoption and career growth. He also specializes in digital marketing, personal branding, and the integration of ethical AI into business and education. With nearly two decades of experience leading marketing and media initiatives, he brings both practical industry knowledge and academic insight to his teaching. In addition to his research and instruction, he mentors students and professionals on building confidence, developing personal brands, and leveraging technology for long-term success.
