Description

This workshop offers a practical introduction to Adaptive Mentalization-Based Integrative Treatment (AMBIT) through the lens of direct client work. The session focuses on how the model supports engagement with clients who present with complexity, risk, and relational uncertainty. Participants will explore the client domain of AMBIT, with particular attention to how mentalizing guides the building and scaffolding of relationships, risk management, and moment-to-moment collaborative planning with clients. The workshop will also include practice of a mentalization-based technique designed to help clinicians share their minds with clients in order to foster more mentalizing conversations.
