Educational Goal

The educational goal of this workshop is for attendees to learn about the use of AI in counselor education, including counselor educators' perspectives on AI use in supervision and training.

Description

As the use of artificial intelligence (AI) has grown and evolved, so too has the role of AI in training counselors. While authors across the behavioral health professions have explored the appropriateness, ethical complexities, and potential opportunities for AI use in clinical training, research is still forthcoming regarding educators' perspectives on the use of AI. Presenters will share initial findings from a mixed-method study exploring perspectives on the use of AI in counselor education, then facilitate an interactive discussion regarding the topic.
