Taylor Gibson

Hello! My name is Taylor Gibson and I practice mental health counseling in Birmingham, Alabama. I completed my training with the University of Montevallo in 2020 - beginning at UM in 2012, earning my B.S. in Sociology in 2016, and continuing my education and obtaining a M.Ed. in Couples and Family Counseling thereafter. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC), working with individuals struggling with substance dependence, eating disorders and other co-occurring mental health concerns. I use a person-centered, compassion-focused approach in my practice - promoting connection, healing and a person’s capacity for living wholly. I’ve always loved connecting with others around shared experiences as well as learning from those I’ve yet to experience. It’s incredibly humbling and inspiring to meet someone as, and where, they are. In becoming a therapist, I knew I could provide others a space to feel met, connected and understood.
