About
I am a Registered Psychological Associate with a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As a first-generation Mexican American who is bilingual in English and Spanish, I deeply value creating a welcoming, culturally responsive space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood.
I have been working in the mental health field since 2015 and in addiction treatment since 2017. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals facing co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges, psychosis, and other complex life experiences. I am EMDR-trained and have experience conducting psychological evaluations, including parental capacity, psychosis, and sex offender assessments.
My approach to therapy is holistic, collaborative, and tailored to each person's unique needs. Drawing from Gestalt Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I strive to help clients build self-awareness, develop effective coping skills, and reconnect with their strengths. I believe that each person is the expert on their own life, and my role is to walk alongside them, offering guidance, support, and practical tools as they work toward healing, growth, and creating a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling.
