Sophia Iovenitti

Sophia Iovenitti Psy.D., has more than 15 years of experience supporting youth, young adults, and families across a variety of clinical and non-clinical settings. She holds a doctoral degree in Psychology - Behavioral Health Leadership from Walden University and a master’s in Clinical Psychology from Vanguard University of Southern California.

In 2020, Sophia joined Newport Healthcare’s Alumni Department, where she helps young people and families stay connected to recovery and long-term healing. With a background in child development and clinical psychology, she is a passionate advocate for hope, healing, and family connection.

Sophia also serves as the host for Newport Healthcare’s podcast, Shift Happens, sharing stories from our alumni, families, and treatment experts. Her motivation for her work is her own lived experience, and her belief that every story is unique and every individual deserves love and compassion
