Rachel Thomas

Rachel Thomas, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, has been practicing therapy since 1997. She is a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist and Supervisor and specializes in working with couples to create healing and connection. In addition to extensive EFT training, Rachel is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) which is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma.

Rachel has been an American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Approved Supervisor since 2005 and has provided supervision to many other practicing professionals as they progress forward in obtaining their license.
 She provides on-going clinical supervision and consultation to the therapists at Therapy With Heart as well as outside clinicians who contract for additional EFT supervision and consultation.

Rachel believes in community and supporting other therapists in the area. She has been actively involved in AzEFT for years as well as being on the AzAMFT Board's Supervision Committee. Rachel currently serves and the President Chair of AzEFT. She is the Chair Elect for the AAMFT Arizona Interest Network. She has been actively involved in supporting New Song Center for Grieving Children at Hospice of the Valley and stays involved in RESOLVE, the National Infertility Association.

Rachel has always focused her work with clients and supervises on creating a safe space for all people to feel accepted and heard. With this foundation, the process can be healing and open for exploration.
