Michael D. Celestin Jr., PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Community Health Science and Policy in the LSU Health New Orleans School of Public Health and Director of the Louisiana Tobacco Control Initiative, a program of the Louisiana Cancer Research Center. Dr. Celestin has over 25 years of experience at LSU leading statewide cancer prevention and tobacco control activities. His work focuses on implementing evidence-based system, clinician, and patient-level strategies and interventions to improve tobacco use treatment in collaboration with Louisiana health systems, hospitals, and community health centers.
