My experience includes working with couples, families, teens, children, individuals, persons with special needs, and family members of loved ones with special needs. I am here to help you address the critical issues in your life to bring you peace and connection with those around you. Some of the challenges I work with include marital conflict, familial conflict, adolescent issues, infidelity, betrayal trauma, relationship problems, and areas relating to life transitions such as premarital counseling and blending families. My couples counseling emphasizes tools for developing communication, deepening intimacy, and resolving power struggles. I work with families by working to understand each person’s unique perspective on the family system and the conflicts occurring within.

As a trauma-informed therapist, I use various counseling methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the Gottman Method, Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy.

I have been an English and special education teacher throughout the beautiful state of Texas for over fifteen years. During my career in education, I encountered various painful wounds and unresolved issues within families. My goal is to help families heal by better recognizing and working through core issues and dysfunctional patterns.

Married since 1993 to my high school sweetheart, we have three beautiful daughters and two nutty dachshunds that follow us around. My experience, warmth, and acceptance bring a strong working relationship to meet each of my client’s needs.
