About
Jordan Held, LCSW (he/him) is a Primary Family Therapist and LGBTQ+ Specialist at Visions Adolescent Treatment Center. Jordan’s therapeutic practice centers around creating a healing-centered space for both adolescents and their families, working to decrease negative patterns and strengthen the family system. Jordan’s expertise is working with gender and sexual minority adolescents, particularly those displaying complex mental health presentations, including acute suicidality and persistent mood disorders.
Jordan speaks internationally about creating and supporting trauma- informed LGBTQ+ environments with an emphasis on informed consent and enhanced family communication. Jordan is an adjunct clinician at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in the Center for Transyouth Health and Development, providing training, consultation, and community education. Jordan sits on multiple Board of Directors, serving queer and trans community both locally and nationally. Jordan has worked extensively in secondary school education, developing health and wellness curricula, focusing on DEI and cultivating strength and resiliency for adolescents.
Jordan holds a Master of Social Welfare degree from UCLA, a Master of Sports Leadership degree from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Connecticut. Jordan, a former Bostonian is an avid sneakerhead who self-cares by lifting heavy weights, going to the beach, loving his rescue dog, and embracing his gender euphoria!
