Georgina Smith

Georgina K. Smith, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist and EMDR certified trauma specialist based in Los Angeles. She earned her BA in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience from the University of Southern California and completed her master’s and PhD in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology.
For the past 20 years, Dr. Smith has worked across diverse settings, from nonprofits and hospitals to dual-diagnosis treatment centers, integrating relational, attachment-focused, somatic, narrative, and neurobiological approaches, including EMDR and IFS.

She has maintained a private practice in Los Angeles for 18 years and is the founder of Revolve Recovery, a community-conscious, trauma-focused intensive outpatient center in Marina del Rey. Revolve is built around her Trauma Ecology Integration Model™ (TEIM™), which views trauma as a living, systemic ecology in motion and emphasizes non-pathologizing, contextual, relational, and community-based healing.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Smith supervises pre-licensed clinicians, presents nationally and internationally, leads CEU trainings, and is currently writing a book on trauma and healing. Passionate about advancing the frontiers of trauma treatment, she challenges today’s soundbite, reductionist, insta-culture by reminding us that the complexity of healing requires depth, nuance, and the courage to hold paradox. Dr. Smith is committed to bridging individual and collective healing, recognizing how culture, community, and systemic forces shape our experiences and our recovery.
