Cisco Gonzales, PhD, LPC, NCC
Dr. Cisco Gonzales is a licensed professional counselor and educator with a diverse background in mental health, substance use treatment, and school counseling. Born and raised in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, his personal experiences with community adversity and natural disasters have shaped his deep commitment to promoting mental health awareness and resilience.
Dr. Gonzales earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University and his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of New Orleans. During his training, he gained clinical experience in substance use treatment, where he later began his professional counseling career.
He has served in both clinical and educational settings, including work as a school counselor and a clinician in private practice while pursuing licensure. These experiences have equipped him to support individuals ages 10 and older across a wide range of mental health concerns.
In 2023, Dr. Gonzales founded his own private practice, where he continues to provide client-centered care and clinical supervision. In 2025, he earned his PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from University of Holy Cross, further solidifying his role as both a practitioner and educator in the field.
Dr. Gonzales is passionate about normalizing conversations around mental health, particularly within underserved communities, and brings a relatable, culturally informed perspective to his work.
