Dr Cindy Ashkins

Originally from CT., Dr Cindy Ashkins received her MSW and PhD from Tulane School of Social Work. During that time she also operated an uptown Jazz Club that launched some of our world’s Jazz greats. She has been a private practice psychotherapist since 1990, specializing in relationships, addiction & trauma. In 1994 Cindy became a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist and soon after, became a Certified Massage Therapist, Breath Worker, NLP Master Practitioner and integrated her work with body-centered and energy psychology.In 2006 Dr Cindy became the Imago Workshop Presenter for Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina, as well as co-leading Recovery groups for physicians and professionals. In her leisure time, Dr Ashkins cherishes her time with her college-age son Ari and life partner, Dr. Bob, as well as playing with her PTSD therapy dog Sawyer. Cindy enjoys working out, pilates, yoga, photography and travel.
