Cynthia Kohn has over thirty years of clinical experience beginning her career with a Masters degree in Expressive Therapy from Lesley College in 1983, after receiving her under graduate degree in Fine Arts. She later received a graduate degree in Clinical Social Work in 1992 from Simmons College. Her approach to treatment is relational, utilizing the therapeutic relationship as a tool for healing external relationships as well as one’s relationship to self. She has a wide range of experience working with diverse populations in outpatient community mental health settings, residential treatment, the juvenile court clinic, and Aids Action Committee. Cynthia works with individuals, couples and families of all orientations. Some of her areas of focus and proficiency are trauma, victims of domestic violence, depression and anxiety, substance abuse, and adoption.
