Amanda L. Bennett is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the states of South Carolina and West Virginia, and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the state of North Carolina. Amanda specializes in treating mental health, addictions, co-occurring disorders, and trauma. She is a Certified Assessment Facilitator for the SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) comprehensive marriage program, as well as a Certified Facilitator in PREPARE/ENRICH’s therapeutic couples program. Amanda attended Washington University in St. Louis for her undergraduate studies, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish in 2008. After returning to South Florida and working as a legal assistant, Amanda decided to return to her passion for studying the human brain, behavior, relationships, and psychotherapy. She next attended Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she earned a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology in 2014, with specific concentrations in Mental Health Counseling and Substance Abuse Counseling.

Amanda has a passion for empowering people. Her philosophy of clinical treatment is based on a belief that all individuals have an innate ability to heal emotionally, which can be accessed via therapeutic treatments and supported by holistic practices and healthy community engagement. Amanda always strives to provide excellent and compassionate care, with the aim of stimulating clients’ personal growth and promoting long-term recovery, resiliency, and wellness self-management. Whether a client’s treatment focus is on mental / behavioral health or an addiction, Amanda particularly enjoys focusing on supporting and encouraging the individuals she works with to set themselves up for success.

Amanda joined the I-BOS Counseling Center family in January 2022, bringing with her over a decade of experience working with wide-ranging mental health issues, social and relational concerns, and substance use disorders. Her background helping individuals and families in diverse counseling and human health service environments gives her a unique understanding of her clients’ needs, which is well-paired with her caring, solution-focused treatment orientation.
