Alexis Young
Alexis Young is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience serving children, adults, and families across state, federal, and nonprofit sectors. Her expertise includes crisis and trauma intervention, adjustment to chronic illness concerns, depression and anxiety management, and nonprofit program development.
A proud graduate of Grambling State University, Alexis earned both her BSW and MSW and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Practitioner. In 2018, she founded Therapeutic Wellness Solutions, LLC, a practice dedicated to helping Gen Z, Millennial, and Gen X clients find healing through talk therapy and somatic practices.
Beyond her clinical work, Alexis is deeply committed to mentoring and educating emerging and established mental health professionals, as well as individuals in public service roles.
She has also contributed to statewide advocacy and policy. Alexis is a former governor-appointed member of the Louisiana Rehabilitation Council, where she served on the executive committee and chaired the Eligibility and Planning Committee, ensuring equitable access to vocational rehabilitation services for individuals with disabilities. She is also an active member of the Louisiana Assistive Technology Board and proud of three children.
