About

Adam Vidrine is a Registered Addiction Counselor and Certified Compulsive Gambling Counselor through the Louisiana ADRA. Adam is a proud member of LASACT. Adam has worked for Woodlake Addiction Recovery Center since January of 2018 to June of 2023. Adam is an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor through IC&RC. Adam began working in the addiction recovery field in January of 2016 as the House Manager at Acadiana CARES Recovery Living Facility. Adam is now the outpatient ASAM individual counselor for Genesis Behavioral Health in Lafayette, which services the 15th JDC Drug Court Program participants.

Adam is in recovery and has been sober since January 05, 2015. Adam’s uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness/DBT, Motivational Interviewing, along with Care, Compassion and Empathy to help facilitate the lifestyle changes necessary for a solid recovery.

Adam is a 2003 Blue Cliff College Massage Therapy Graduate. Adam enjoys going to AA conventions, sponsoring within the fellowship, and sharing his experience, strength and hope with others in recovery. Adam is on the Committee for Cajun Country Conference. Adam is the happy father of a Shih Tzu named Luna and happily married.

Adam is the recipient of the 2022 LASACT Certified Compulsive Gambling Counselor of the Year. As of August 2023, I have the pleasure to sit on the LASACT committee as Member at Large.
