About

Overview

Sandstone Care is dedicated to helping teens, young adults, adults, and their families navigate the challenges of substance use, addiction, and mental health conditions. Recognizing that different life stages require tailored approaches, our age-specific programs provide personalized care to meet the unique needs of each individual.

At Sandstone Care, we believe in treating the whole person and their support system. Our family systems approach ensures that every client is supported by both individual and family therapists, with programming that includes weekly multi-family support groups. We are committed to providing evidence-based, compassionate care that empowers and inspires change in individuals and families to heal, grow, and thrive.

We offer a full continuum of care for both Substance Use/Dual Diagnosis and Primary Mental Health challenges, ensuring that clients receive the right level of support at every stage of their recovery journey. Our services include:

• Detox & Short-Term Residential (Adults 18+) – Located in Virginia and Colorado
• Adolescent Dual Diagnosis Residential – The only program of its kind in the Mid-Atlantic region
• Teen Residential & Outpatient Programs – Available in Maryland, Virginia, Colorado, and Illinois
• Distinct Outpatient Tracks – Separate programs for Primary Substance Use/Dual Diagnosis and Primary Mental Health
• PHP & IOP Programs – Supporting adolescents (13-17) and young adults (18-30)
• Transitional Housing for Young Adults – Helping individuals build independence post-treatment
• Alumni & Free Family Support Programs – Ongoing community-based support, including weekly virtual clinician-led family groups open to all
