  • Identify at least three clinical interventions that support resilience, client empowerment, and therapeutic engagement beyond symptom reduction alone.

  • Evaluate at least three strategies for integrating trauma-informed, person-centered care into existing evidence-based treatment models.

  • Apply at least two practical concepts from the panel to enhance whole-person care within their own clinical practice.

Educational Goal

The educational goal of this panel discussion is to increase participants' understanding of how integrating trauma-informed, strengths-based, and recovery-oriented practices alongside traditional diagnostic frameworks can enhance client engagement, therapeutic alliance, and long-term recovery outcomes.

Description

Behavioral healthcare has long relied on diagnostic frameworks to guide assessment and treatment planning. While these models remain essential, many clinicians recognize the importance of integrating additional approaches that address resilience, meaning, identity, and human connection. This moderated panel explores how trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and strengths-based interventions complement traditional diagnostic models to create more comprehensive and person-centered care. Through discussion of clinical experiences and emerging best practices, participants will gain practical insights for integrating whole-person approaches into behavioral healthcare.
