Information

Date & Time

Description

Co-occurring conditions are very common in addiction treatment, yet many clinicians do not feel adequately prepared to address both simultaneously. This presentation will explore strategies for diagnosing and treating co-occurring disorders in an integrated manner. While current practices often focus on treating either addiction or mental health disorders independently, best practices emphasize the simultaneous treatment of both.

Educational Goal

The educational goal of this course is to enhance clinicians’ ability to recognize, assess, and treat co-occurring depression and substance use disorders through integrated, evidence-based, and collaborative approaches that address both conditions simultaneously.
