Description

Many clinicians are exhausted due to challenging, fast-paced, emotional workplaces. This exhaustion is not healthy for clinicians themselves, and is also damaging to organizations and clients. In a time where we are being asked to do more with less, join us to practice infusing Trauma Informed, Resilience Oriented, Equitable principles into our supervision work to not only re-energize us in our work, but to also increase our staff’s job satisfaction, engagement and clinical outcomes.

Presenters

Elizabeth Guroff

Elizabeth is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist with over 25 years of experience in the Behavioral Health field as both a clinician and administrator. Elizabeth has worked in a range of clinical settings from Treatment Foster Care and In-Home Treatment programs to Outpatient Mental Health, Private practice and Community-based adult services to a variety of residential settings for children and adults. In all of those settings, Elizabeth has provided direct clinical services, supervision and leadership. Prior to joining the National Council for Behavioral Health, Elizabeth was the COO of a large MH provider in Montgomery County, Maryland where she oversaw and directed the implementation of TIC practices across the entire Agency. Since joining the NCBH, Elizabeth has consulted with organizations and systems of all sizes on the implementation of Trauma Informed Care approaches, leadership development and organizational change management.
