Description
This session introduces Bilateral Stimulation (BLS)—a core component of EMDR and other trauma-informed modalities—adapted specifically for the school setting. Participants will explore the neuroscience of the "survival brain" and learn how BLS can be used as a low-intensity, high-impact tool to help students de-escalate, process distress, and return to a state of felt safety. Designed for scalability, this course demonstrates how to integrate BLS into a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). From Tier 1 whole-class grounding exercises to Tier 3 intensive individual support, attendees will gain practical, evidence-based strategies to foster student resilience and academic success.
