Description

This training equips behavioral health professionals with the skills to design and implement recovery plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and life circumstances. More specifically, this training strengthens critical thinking skills to apply evidence-based models in a flexible, person-centered, culturally competent, and ethically-sound manner. By practicing personalized planning, participants will gain the skills necessary to increase client engagement, retention, and long-term recovery success.

Presenters

Ava Titsworth grew up in Arkansas and has worked in the behavioral health field for over 27 years. She has been in recovery for 35 years. We at Serenity Park Recovery Center we are fortunate to have Ava as our Clinical Supervisor. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Ministries from Williams Baptist College now known as Williams Baptist University. She has an International Certification in Alcohol Drug Abuse Counseling (IADC) and a National Certification as an Addiction Counselor II (NCACIl). Additionally, she is certified as a Distance Clinical Supervisor (ICS-D). Ava has worked in various substance abuse treatment modalities in Arkansas and Tennessee, and has trained counselors and supervisors state-wide. Ava believes even if she wasn't a professional clinical supervisor, she would still counsel and educate others. Ava enjoys hiking, kayaking, geocaching metal detecting and reading. Ava’s favorite quote is “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for the human masters.”
