My clinical work has focused on trauma recovery, on mood regulation and personality disorders management, helping clients increase self-trust, develop resilience, and reconnect with life equipped with knowledge and with increased control over symptoms and trauma narrative contexts. As a therapist and former director of PHP/IOP/EOP levels of care, as a current trainer of therapists and psychologists in the treatment of trauma and dissociation symptoms, I believe in empowering clients to become self-aware, to embrace and live life with awareness and strength.

Dr. Judy Cole is a board-certified clinical psychologist and Regional Program Lead for theMilitary and First Responders Program at Family Care Center, where she provides clinical leadership, consultation, and direct care to patients with trauma-related and mood disorders. She is board certified in Clinical Psychology by the American Board ofProfessional Psychology (ABPP) and holds licensure in Colorado, Florida, and NorthCarolina, as well as PSYPACT authorization for inter jurisdictional telepsychology practice.Dr. Cole has over 17 years of experience in clinical psychology, neuropsychology, and behavioral health leadership. Before joining Family Care Center, she served as MentalHealth Flight Commander at Peterson Air Force Base, where she oversaw mental health, substance abuse, and family advocacy programs for active-duty service members and their families. Her background includes directing operations at Joint Base Andrews and serving as a deployed psychologist in Afghanistan, where she led Combat and Operational StressControl missions. Dr. Cole’s clinical expertise includes trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, and performance psychology, with specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She continues to advance evidence-based mental health care for military and first responder populations while mentoring early-career clinicians and supporting system-wide behavioral health resilience initiatives
