Description

This presentation will provide an intimate description of the lives of children in America who live with a parent who is in active addiction. This presentation is to act as a voice for children who are often forgotten about while living in the chaos of addiction. Much help and support can be found for those who are themselves suffering from addiction but that same support for children who are being impacted by their parents addiction is few and far between. The goal of this presentation is to bring awareness to this need and to give a voice to the voiceless.

  • Assess current policies and funding structures that influence resource availability for children impacted by parental substance use disorders and identify implications for advocacy and reform.
