Educational Goal
Description
With the Natural Medicine Health Act in Colorado, professionals providing support services must navigate two distinct legal pathways: personal use harm reduction and licensed facilitation. This workshop offers a clear comparison of these tracks, outlining legal, ethical, and practical differences as well as skill sets required for each approach. In particular, participants will gain a working knowledge of the foundational principles and skills of psychedelic harm reduction, including confidentiality considerations, safety practices, and trauma-informed practices. Participants will also learn how these practices differ from licensed facilitation.
