Educational Goal

The education goal for this presentation is to provide a framework for integrating AI into clinical practice in order to support professional growth and therapeutic presence. Participants will also discover AI-assisted strategies to enhance clinical decision-making and strengthen the therapeutic relationship while maintaining full clinical authority.

Description

As artificial intelligence becomes embedded in clinical practice, therapists are moving beyond adoption questions toward deeper integration. This workshop explores how AI can be leveraged as a tool for clinical growth, including using session analytics for “self-supervision,” enhancing modality-specific interventions, and reducing administrative burden to reclaim presence in the therapy room. Participants will examine the impact of AI on the therapeutic relationship, learn strategies for managing the human-AI-client triad, and identify new competencies required in an augmented practice—while reaffirming the professionals role as the final clinical authority.
