Educational Goal
The educational goal of this workshop is to equip providers with practical, developmentally aligned strategies to strengthen emotional resiliency in adolescents affected by bullying. Attendees will leave able to support adolescent coping, coach caregivers effectively, and create consistent, system-level environments that foster stability and confidence.

This session presents a practical approach for building emotional resiliency in adolescents impacted by bullying. Presenters will explore how bullying shapes emotional development, coping patterns, and family dynamics, and introduce a framework that combines individual skill-building, caregiver involvement, and system-level support. Attendees will learn strategies to strengthen emotional awareness, flexibility, coping routines, and self-regulation. The session also offers tools for coaching caregivers to model regulated responses and reinforce adaptive coping. Participants will leave with repeatable strategies that boost confidence, restore emotional stability, and strengthen support systems around adolescents.

Sadie Cobio is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and behavioral health leader known for advancing the field through innovation, advocacy, and community impact. As Regional Director of Northern Illinois at Rosecrance Behavioral Health, Sadie leads large-scale initiatives that strengthen clinical outcomes, expand access to care, and drive organizational excellence across multidisciplinary teams.

Joseph Kreul, LCPC
Joe Kreul, Vice President of Crisis Services for Rosecrance Behavioral Health, is a proven leader with nearly 20 years of experience transforming mental health care for youth and adults. His career spans outpatient, school-based, residential, group home, and psychiatric hospitalization settings, giving him a comprehensive perspective on the continuum of care.
Since joining Rosecrance in 2013, Joe has consistently driven growth and innovation. He advanced from Mental Health Therapist to leadership roles overseeing the Child and Family Program, Youth Recovery Court Program, and Youth Substance Abuse Services. In these positions, Joe led strategic expansions, strengthened community partnerships, and implemented programmatic changes that significantly improved access to services for youth and families.
In his current role, Joe oversees all Behavioral Health Crisis programming for Rosecrance across 17 counties in Illinois. He has spearheaded the development of a continuum of crisis care, building collaborative frameworks with state agencies, and guiding large-scale program change across Illinois. His expertise in strategic planning, leadership, and systems development has positioned Rosecrance as a leader in crisis response and elevated the standard of care for communities across the state.
