|

Information

Date & Time

Description

Discover the transformative power of Internal Family Systems (IFS), an evidence-informed therapeutic approach that helps clinicians support client healing by understanding and connecting with the different parts of self, particularly those shaped by trauma and protective coping patterns. Through the lens of IFS, participants will explore how strengthening Self-leadership fosters clinical self-awareness, emotional balance, and client resilience. This workshop provides an introduction to the key concepts and practical clinical applications of IFS in behavioral health practice. Presented by Brandt Ratcliff, LPC, this engaging session is designed for behavioral health professionals seeking to integrate IFS into their clinical work.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Apply at least two IFS-informed strategies to increase self-awareness and support clinical growth.

  • Describe how trauma and life experiences can shape internal parts and identify ways that strengthening the core Self can promote clinical healing and emotional balance.

  • Differentiate between the roles of managers, firefighters, and exiles within the IFS framework and discuss how these parts influence behavior and coping strategies.

The educational goal of this workshop is to develop a foundational understanding of the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model and learn how recognizing and engaging with internal parts of self, particularly those influenced by trauma, enhances clinical self-awareness, emotional regulation, and client resilience in behavioral health practice.
