Educational Goal

This topic will emphasize the importance of a well-rounded multi-disciplinary team in treating addiction, with particular focus on the role of peer support specialists and external support systems and how to integrate them into the broader team for the benefit of clients in recovery. It also aims to address challenges and propose solutions for fostering a collaborative and cohesive environment.

Presenters

Dori Haddock, LCSW, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Natural State Recovery Centers (NSR). Before joining NSR, she served as the Regional Director at Bradford Health, where she launched the organization's first program in Arkansas in 2014. In 2020, Ms. Haddock partnered with CHI St. Vincent hospital to introduce the CHI St. Vincent Addiction Recovery Program (ARP) in collaboration with Bradford Health, establishing the first of its kind in Arkansas. A licensed Clinical Social Worker, Haddock has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and the foster care system, and has developed several programs for young women.

In addition to her new role, she is the Chairwoman of the Board at The Wolfe Street Foundation and serves as a board member for the Arkansas Coalition Against Sexual Assault and LevelUp Recovery. Appointed by Governor Asa Hutchinson in November 2019, she is also a member of the Arkansas Alcohol and Drug Abuse Coordinating Council. Her exceptional contributions were recognized in 2023 when she was honored as one of the "Most Remarkable Women in Arkansas" and received the Recovery Leadership Award from The Wolfe Street Foundation.
