Psychedelic Veterinary Medicine: Exploring the One Health Intersections
While we anticipated the spillover effects of psychedelic medicines onto non-human animal species, it happenedĀ faster than expected! Whether through accidental ingestion or intentional administration in pets, the influence of psychedelics extends beyond humans. Coupled with the secondary effects on animals and the planet, this presents the animal health and psychedelic communities numerous intersections worthy of exploration.
International Veterinary Community Building: Creating Virtual Spaces for Peer-to-Peer Support:
Care for the Healer is a US based non-profit whose goals are to restore the wellbeing of the world’s Healers through compassion, curiosity, and innovation. In this talk, we’ll explore one of our ongoing projects of building an international veterinary community through virtual spaces for peer-to-peer support. We’ll discuss the project’s goals, the platforms used, and the strategies implemented to foster engagement, collaboration, and professional development among veterinary professionals worldwide.

Presenters
Steven Kruzeniski is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and life-long student of One Health, Human Support & Psychedelic Assisted Therapy. For over a decade he has been living and working across The Americas, Africa & Asia. He is currently residing in the Sacred Valley of Peru. His work combines social veterinary service & educational advocacy for animal welfare; support of veterinary professional wellbeing; and Psychedelic Harm Reduction. CombingĀ veterinary and One Health education with in-depth training in Psychedelic Assisted Therapies, Dr. Steve is uniquely positioned to provide harm and risk reduction education for the general public and animal health communities. He is the current Consultation Director for VeterinaryPsy, advocating for OneHealth research paradigms, cross-species clinical best practices, and animal-aware legislation in the emerging field of psychedelic medicine.
