Educational Goal
The educational goal of this presentation is to increase participants’ knowledge of human trafficking and how to address it with clients.
Description
This presentation will review the history and current state of human trafficking globally and within New Hampshire. It will include up-to-date statistics to educate healthcare professionals on identifying human trafficking with clients/patients. Participants will develop an understanding of the types of human trafficking occurring in the U.S., learn the physical and psychological signs of trafficking, and gain an understanding of how to approach the topic with a client. The training will also educate participants on how to report and/or refer a person suspected to be a victim of human trafficking.

Presenters
Ashley is a licensed mental health counselor that has worked in emergency services since 2015. Outside of the ER setting, Ashley actively works to spread awareness and help to abolish human trafficking. She is an abolitionist with A21 and has volunteered for other organizations that work to eradicate human trafficking. Ashley has fundraised, participated in task forces, and trained the community on this global crisis and how to help eradicate it.
