As professionals, one of the hardest challenges we face is guiding our clients to accepting and receiving care. With so much information at our fingertips, it is sometimes difficult to know where to start when making a referral. This interactive workshop explores the principles of client placement within various treatment modalities and levels of care. Participants will learn how to assess client needs, compare treatment settings, and make informed placement decisions that enhance therapeutic outcomes. Through discussion and case-based activities, attendees will gain practical strategies for addressing referral challenges, will optimize their framework for decision making, and will practice motivational and interventional strategies to simplify and optimize the referral process for clients and families in their care.
