Educational Goal

The educational goal of this workshop is to increase knowledge about the differences between eating disorders and addiction and their treatment approaches. 

Description

This presentation will compare and contrast assessment and treatment approaches for eating disorders and addictions. Current research and statistics for both will be discussed. This presentation will also explore potential barriers to accurate assessment and diagnosis.

Rebecca A.C. Price, LPC-MHSP(temp), NCC

Rebecca A.C. Price, LPC-MHSP(temp), NCC received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Memphis. She has worked in various roles in the field of mental health since 2014, and has worked across multiple levels of care in both eating disorder and addiction treatment centers. Rebecca currently works in private practice at Protea Counseling and Consultation Group, PLLC and primarily focuses on eating disorders, trauma, and first responders.
