This presentation is a brief introduction to Neurofeedback. The course will focus on what this modality is, why it works, and real life case studies. This presentation will focus on common neurobiomarkers that are seen in individuals suffering with addiction.

Educational Goal

The educational goal of this presentation is for participants to gain a foundational understanding of neurofeedback, including its principles, mechanisms, and application in identifying and addressing neurobiomarkers commonly seen in individuals with addiction.

Presenters

Brigitte is a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Associate currently serving in a clinical counseling role at Luna Integrative Care in Houston, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Baylor University in 2020 and went on to complete her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Science at the University of St. Thomas in 2024, bringing a strong blend of scientific insight and clinical training to her work. With 6–8 years of experience in Neurofeedback and Biofeedback, Brigitte integrates mind–body technology with evidence-based therapeutic practices to support emotional regulation, cognitive functioning, and overall brain wellness. She has developed a particular specialization in Sleep Health, helping clients understand and optimize the physiological and behavioral foundations of healthy sleep. Brigitte is well-prepared to respond to acute mental health crises, demonstrating composure, clarity, and clinical precision even in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations. Her passion for serving individuals and families is evident in her warm interpersonal style, collaborative approach, and ability to build strong therapeutic alliances. Her professional certifications include: HSI Adult First Aid (March 2025) CPR/AED for All Ages (March 2025) Certified Life Coach (August 2023) LPC-Associate (October 2024) Brigitte remains committed to ongoing professional development, integrative care, and supporting meaningful change in the lives of the clients she serves.
