Description
The number of people worldwide suffering from anxiety, depression, OCD, addictions, or long-COVID symptoms keeps on increasing at an alarming rate.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a very well-established technology that is receiving increasing attention, as it has shown very promising therapeutic potential for several neuropsychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, long-COVID symptoms and substance use disorders. The main goal of this lecture is to emphasize the latest findings on how TMS can significantly improve quality of life as well as work life, by alleviating symptoms of burn out, anxiety, depression, addictions as well as cognitive deficits. It will also be emphasized that TMS works best when administered as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to mental health.

Presenters
Dr. Antonello Bonci is the President and Founder of GIA Healthcare. He left UCSF in 2010, where he was Professor-in-Residence in the Department of Neurology. Before moving to GIA Miami, he was Scientific Director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) at the NIH. He is known worldwide for his pioneering studies on the long-term effects of stress and drug exposure on the brain. Dr. Bonci is also one of the pioneers in the research and application of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
