Description

If you work with veterans or first responders—or want to—you need more than textbook knowledge. You need access to the world behind the badge, behind the uniform. This course, grounded in the breakthrough work of Dr. Shauna Springer and the clinical expertise of respected mental health provider Robyn Sonnier, takes you there. This is not your typical continued education course. It's an insider’s guide to the protector mindset—why warriors sign up to run toward danger, what keeps them going, and why so many silently struggle after the shift ends or the deployment is over. You’ll uncover the real reasons these heroes often avoid mental health care—and why “stigma” is only the tip of the iceberg. We’ll break down the powerful, invisible forces that shape their identity and keep them suffering in silence. You’ll learn the critical differences between military and first responder cultures—and why treating them the same is a critical mistake. Whether you're a clinician, leader, or advocate, this course will change how you show up for those who serve—and could be the key to helping a warrior or first responder take the first step toward healing. The stakes are high. Are you ready to drop in?
