Presenters

Moira C. Dux, Ph.D. completed a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (formerly Finch University/The Chicago Medical School), in the program’s neuropsychology track. She completed both her pre-doctoral and postdoctoral training in neuropsychology at the VA Maryland Health Care System(VAMHCS)/University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM). Since 2018, Dr. Dux has served as the Psychology Training Program Director at VAMHCS, overseeing all levels of psychology training including a pre-doctoral externship program, the VAMHCS/UMSOM Psychology Internship Consortium, and the VAMHCS Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Programs. Dr. Dux is the Chair Elect of the Executive Committee of the national VA Psychology Training Council (VAPTC) and the Co-Chair of the VAPTC Administrative Subcommittee. Clinically, Dr. Dux is an attending neuropsychologist in the VAMHCS Interdisciplinary Cognitive Assessment Clinic, where she collaborates with providers from various health specialties, such as pharmacy, medicine, and social work. In terms of research, Dr. Dux was the recipient of a VA Career Development Award (CDA) in 2012 examining the effects of high-intensity aerobic exercise on autonomic, cognitive, and affective function post-stroke. She remains actively engaged in interdisciplinary research, focusing on evaluating exercise and cognitive rehabilitation interventions to enhance cognitive, psychological, and physical function among individuals with chronic health conditions, including neurological diseases.
Samuel Wan, PhD, is Director of Training for the Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Residency Training Program at the San Francisco VA Health Care System. Dr. Wan performs a range of clinical, administrative, and educational activities focused on the assessment, management, and treatment of co-occurring substance use disorders and PTSD in the Veteran population. Dr. Wan’s clinical interests include substance use disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, and multicultural psychology. He is the 2024-2025 Chair of the VA Psychology Training Council, APA CoA Site Visit Chair, and APPIC Committee Member.
Zoe Proctor-Weber, PsyD, PhD, ABPP-CN
Dr. Proctor-Weber is a board certified neuropsychologist at the Bay Pines VAHCS and current chair of the VAPTC. She is the director of the psychology training internship and residency/fellowship programs at Bay Pines, and serves as program manager of the neuropsychology section.
