Description

This CE will focus on new psychotropic medications that have received FDA approval within the past 18 months. Because access to timely, comprehensive information about newly approved medications may be limited outside of pharmaceutical manufacturers and scientific literature, this workshop will provide an objective, clinically focused overview of these treatments. For each medication, participants will review the mechanism of action, FDA-approved clinical uses, dosing and titration considerations, common and clinically significant adverse effects, and relevant contraindications and precautions. The goal is to provide prescribing psychologists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals with current, practical information to support informed clinical decision-making and safe, effective patient care.
