Educational Goal
Increasing awareness of the importance of equitable end of life care, and examining internal and external biases for LGBTQIA+ folks who are attempting to access end of life care.
Description
This presentation will focus on the barriers that LGBTQIA+ folks encounter in accessing equitable and affirming end of life care. Moreover, this training will provide innovative and creative strategies for addressing these barriers and providing equitable care for LGBTQIA+ folks across the lifespan, particularly at the end of life.

Presenters
Kailey Bradley, MA, LPCC-S, NCC, FT (she/her) is a licensed clinical mental health counselor who recently graduated from Ohio University with her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. She has a background in hospice work and end of life care and holds a certification in thanatology, which emphasizes her dedication to her work in death, dying, and bereavement. She is also an adjunct professor for an online thanatology program, where she teaches courses on: pediatric hospice care, childhood bereavement, disenfranchised grief, and expressive arts in counseling.
