Educational Goal
Description
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a skills-based approach that is widely utilized to treat a variety of mental health concerns. DBT encompasses skills in four main categories: core mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. For clinicians to be effective at infusing DBT skills into their clinical practice, it is important for clinicians to first learn the skills of DBT and how to teach them to clients. In part four of this series, participants will learn skills within the interpersonal effectiveness category, as well as understand how to implement the skills with clients.
