Description
This interactive training will help behavioral health professionals effectively support clients through crisis while promoting client empowerment, resilience, and long term recovery. The course reviews evidenced based crisis management models, trauma informed care principles, de-escalation strategies, and interdisciplinary approaches that help clinicians maintain therapeutic effectiveness while fostering client ownership to reduce clinician and caregiver burnout. Attendees will gain practical tools for crisis prevention, intervention, and recovery planning focusing on client well being and professional sustainability.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:

Identify and assess the stages, types, and client perceptions of crisis including factors that contribute to escalation and opportunities for intervention.

Apply trauma informed and evidenced-based crisis management models to support client stabilization, de-escalation, empowerment, and crisis recovery planning.

Implement at least two strategies that promote client ownership and resilience while utilizing professional practices that reduce clinician and caregiver burnout and enhance therapeutic effectiveness during crisis situations.
