Description
In order to ensure that we are providing trauma informed care, we as professionals need to ensure that we are practicing our own self-care, thus allowing us to provide therapy and clinical support in line with best practices. This presentation will provide a baseline education on what leads to provider overwhelm, looser boundaries and ethically risky behaviors. By Increasing clinicians' ability around self-awareness as it relates to their work with patients. While also providing clear tools and explorative supervision questions to help them practice self-care in a way that promotes longevity in a demanding field.

Participants will be able to:

Identify at least one activity to use within each area of resiliency.

Utilize at least one tool from the Polyvagal Theory to regulate activation.

Identify at least three questions to bring to consultation or supervision groups that can help in managing countertransference.
