Description
This workshop explores the intersection of birth trauma, intergenerational mental health, and community support in shaping child well-being. Participants will examine how maternal trauma impacts attachment and development, learn how trauma is transmitted across generations, and gain strategies for supporting both mothers and children in therapy. Emphasis will be placed on trauma-informed care and the restoration of “the village” through community and clinical collaboration. Attendees will leave with practical tools to recognize maternal mental health struggles when treating children and to foster resilience within families.
