Description
Since the legalization of sports gambling, the amount of people gambling has significantly increased. The way people bet and gamble has changed drastically as well as the population who engages in gambling. A small percentage of this population engages in problematic gambling. This course will teach how to assess and provide treatment for problematic gambling.

Participants will be able to:

Describe why gambling has become more of an issue over the last 8 years.

Identify which population is most at risk for problematic gambling behaviors.

Identify which other mental health issues or behaviors often are found in problematic gambling.

Implement 3 behavioral interventions to provide help for problematic gambling.

Discover how medical and pharmaceutical interventions may be helpful.
