Educational Goal
Description
This presentation will introduce the audience to the cultural history of the psychedelic, Ibogaine, as well as educate them about its medicinal uses with clients for the purposes of healing trauma, helping with addiction, and creating a better relationship with one’s self. It will provide data from several studies on how it helps reduce Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms commonly found in betrayed partners as well as anxiety and depression. Finally, this presentation will review how to support clients after receiving psychedelic-assisted treatment, emphasizing the treatment of betrayal trauma and people struggling with sexual addiction.
