Description

This two-part practical training teaches clinicians how to safely integrate three core AI applications into daily practice: building treatment plans, generating progress notes, and creating psychosocial assessments. Participants receive hands-on technical guidance, HIPAA compliance frameworks, and organizational policy templates. Between sessions, attendees practice their new skills and return with questions for deeper exploration. This interactive format ensures clinicians leave with immediately usable tools that save time while maintaining ethical standards and client safety.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate the ability to build AI-assisted treatment plans using evidence-based prompting techniques while maintaining clinical judgment and accuracy.

  • Create HIPAA-compliant progress notes using AI tools that reduce documentation time by at least 30% without sacrificing quality or clinical detail.

  • Create comprehensive psychosocial assessments using AI applications while ensuring cultural competence, accuracy, and appropriate integration of multiple data sources.

  • Apply organizational policy frameworks and HIPAA compliance requirements to evaluate and implement AI tools safely within behavioral health settings.

  • Identify potential biases, inaccuracies, and limitations in AI-generated clinical content and apply quality control measures before clinical use.

  • Develop individualized implementation plans that include client informed consent processes, staff training protocols, and ongoing quality assurance mechanisms.
